Magazine Pitch

This is my pitch for my music magazine, it's mainly just a brief look at what my magazine will be about and what it will include:

Pitch

Soundwave is a new rock music magazine aimed at older teens and young adults within the 16-21 audience. Our readers are most likely to be white males who are either still in education or have just left education.

Soundwave will cover all types of rock music, including many of the sub-genres in order to try and cater for a higher number of readers. It will include interviews with bands, album previews and reviews and will also have interactive features that readers can get involved in such as competitions or a page for fans letters/e-mails.

The magazine style will have a “rock” feel to it, with a layout that excites the reader whilst still containing vital information for the reader. There will be an equal text to picture ratio, with the photos mainly being taken from live or studio performances.

My double page spread will be an interview with a band who are promoting the release of their new studio album, and will also be quizzed on what it’s like to tour and play sell-out gigs.
