Comments on Feedback

After I've created a pitch, a style sheet and flat plans for my magazine, I showed these to some people in my peer group in the hopes of getting some constructive feeback on my designs and how I could possiblly improve them.

The feedback that I received on my style sheets and flat pans was generally good; the people who saw it generally said they liked the colour scheme and the layout of the contents page. They was also a lot of positive feedback about my ideas of getting readers involved by using competitions and pages for fans letters and emails. There were a few constructive criticisms about my flat pans, a few people commented on my front cover saying that the second image was making the cover look crowded; I will change this by altering my flat pan for my front cover. Another issue was over that layout that I had used for my double page spread left a lot of space that left it looking a bit “empty” I will edit my flat pan to try and reduce the amount of empty space on my double page spread. Overall I was happy with the feedback I’d received on my style sheets and flat pans and will take the criticisms onboard when I come to creating my magazine to help it to become a much stronger product.
